// Principles

Secret by default.
Everything else follows.

01

Minimal Retention

We store only what is operationally required. No message history. No logs beyond security events.

02

User-Controlled Expiration

You set the Fade Time. Every message disappears on your schedule — from 3 seconds to 3 minutes.

03

Small, Intentional Sharing

Hard limits are a feature. 30 messages. 30 characters. 9 people. Brevity creates trust.

04

Browser First

No app required. Access Ansuh from any modern browser on any device. No installation footprint.

05

Clear Trust Cues

You see exactly when content expires, how many messages remain, and who has access. No hidden state.

06

End-to-End Encryption

Messages and files are encrypted in transit and at rest. Keys handled client-side where possible.

// How It Works

Open a Route.
Say what you need.
Go dark.

1

Open a Route

Create an encrypted chat in your browser. No download. Set your Fade Time — the timer that controls how long each message lives after it is read.

// No app required
2

Send a Pass

Invite up to 9 trusted people with a secure Pass link. Your Conductor Circle stays private — invite-only, no public discovery.

// Up to 9 conductors
3

Share Parcels

Attach up to 3 PDFs, 3 photos, and 1 video (max 3 min). All Parcels expire on the same schedule as your messages.

// Files deleted on timer
4

Go Dark

When your 30-minute Route window closes or you manually end it, everything is purged from every storage layer. Nothing remains.

// Who It's For

Privacy isn't a product.
It's a practice.

Ansuh is for people who understand that some conversations are meant to breathe and disappear — not be stored, searched, or surfaced years later by an algorithm you never agreed to.

Use Case 01

Families &
Trusted Circles

Coordinate family decisions, share sensitive documents, discuss private matters without building a permanent record in someone else's cloud. A Route opens for your conversation and closes when it's done.

  • Medical records shared and gone within 30 minutes
  • Financial discussions that don't persist in text threads
  • Family coordination without third-party data harvesting

Use Case 02

Local Communities
& Neighbors

Share neighborhood alerts, coordinate help requests, or pass along time-sensitive information to people nearby — without it living on forever in a public group. Stops and Stations bring location-aware privacy to local life.

  • Neighborhood safety alerts that expire automatically
  • Local help requests without permanent public exposure
  • Community coordination with no permanent record

Use Case 03

Professionals
& Teams

Share sensitive work information — legal, financial, strategic — with teammates without creating exposure. Every Route is a bounded, time-limited conversation that leaves no audit trail you didn't intend to create.

  • Pre-announcement coordination without permanent record
  • Legal discussions with automatic document expiration
  • Strategic conversations that don't survive the moment

// How We Protect You

Architecture built
around absence.

The most effective privacy system is one that never holds the thing that needs protecting. Ansuh is architected around this principle.

Messages are never written to storage. When you send, the message travels through our infrastructure in memory and is immediately routed to your conductors. There is no message database. There is nothing to subpoena, breach, or harvest.

Files expire at the infrastructure layer. When you share a Parcel, it lives in encrypted temporary storage with a 30-minute hard expiration enforced by the system itself — not a scheduled cleanup task.

Routes have a 30-minute absolute ceiling. After 30 minutes, the Route, its connections, and any associated metadata are purged across every storage layer simultaneously. Not archived. Not flagged. Deleted.

You choose the Fade Time. On top of the Route-level deletion, every individual message carries a per-word timer from 3 seconds to 3 minutes. Once read and faded, that message is gone from every device in the circle.

// FAQ

Common questions.

What exactly is Ansuh?+
Ansuh is a browser-first, end-to-end encrypted messaging platform built for private, temporary communication. Every message, file, and conversation is set to disappear on a timer you control. No app download required.
Is Ansuh really private? Can you read my messages?+
Messages are end-to-end encrypted in transit. We cannot read your Routes. Messages are never written to permanent storage — they route through our infrastructure and are discarded immediately. There is no message database to breach.
What does "Go Dark" mean?+
Go Dark is the moment a Route, message, or file is fully purged from all storage layers. After your Fade Time expires or your 30-minute window closes, deletion runs across every layer — storage, database, CDN — to confirm the content is gone.
Who is Ansuh built for?+
Ansuh is built for families, neighbors, local communities, trusted professional teams, and anyone who needs a safe, temporary way to share sensitive messages, documents, photos, and video without leaving a permanent record. If you've ever sent something and wished you could take it back, Ansuh is built for that feeling.
Why are the limits so strict?+
Hard limits are a design feature, not a bug. 30 messages. 30 characters. 9 people. 30 minutes. These constraints force brevity, reduce your exposure surface, and make communication feel intentional. Trust is built through restraint.
How does Fade Time work?+
Fade Time is a per-message timer you set before sending, ranging from 3 seconds to 3 minutes. Once the recipient reads your message and the timer expires, that specific message disappears — regardless of the Route's overall 30-minute window. Set a 3-second fade for the most sensitive messages. Set 3 minutes when you want a little more time.
Do I need to download an app?+
No. Ansuh runs entirely in your browser. Open it on your phone, tablet, or computer — Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Edge. Nothing to install. No permissions to grant. Close the tab and it's like it was never there.
What happens to my files after I share them?+
Files shared as Parcels are stored in encrypted temporary storage with a hard 30-minute expiration enforced at the infrastructure level. When the Route closes — or when the 30-minute ceiling hits — all Parcels are deleted automatically. Not archived. Not moved. Deleted.
